Taran was born a small time before his father Tarak had overthrown his grandfather Alduin, a devout follower of Tiamat in the destruction and torment of the world. With Taran’s father’s actions being in the name of the might that is Bahamut, it symbolised the change in the draconic empire’s elegance from the dark to the light. And with the birth of Taran came the birth of an idea of a new nation that had just now come into fruitions. Taran grew up in the in the palace and was given education by a private tutor called Zentaler. She was a silver dragonborn that taught Taran about all he would need to be king. Taran’s days as a child consisted of getting up at the crack of dawn to go on a run around the castle grounds, sometimes meeting up with some of his noble friends, and then going to the physical training hall where he would be drilled in his combat and fitness by instructor Galohad who was a member of the kings guard; he would then spend a few hours studying with Zentaler. After that his day was his own, he usually spent them with his three friends.
